Everyone studied Shakespeare at school, luckily the Chirton Grange Shakespeare tour is markedly more interesting than your English Literature teacher could ever make it... The two day tour taking in both London and Stratford-Upon-Avon culminates in a performance by the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Swan Theatre in Stratford.
The tour begins at your hotel in London where you'll be met by your guide and chauffeur vehicle, before being whisked "South of the River" to Southwark and the site of the original Globe Theatre. After this, we'll take a stroll (weather permitting) along the Thames to New Shakespeare's Globe for a look round the exhibition and a guided tour of the theatre.
Once the tour is completed we'll head back across the river for a traditional English pub lunch at a very special place. This pub happens to be built on the site of the original Curtain Theatre, where Henry V and Romeo and Juliet were performed for the first time. After your lunch, it's back into your chauffeur driven vehicle for the journey up the M40 to Stratford-Upon-Avon where we'll check you in to your hotel and enjoy an evening performance by the RSC at the Swan Theatre.
After an overnight stay in Stratford, you'll be collected bright and early by your chauffeur and guide before going to take in the sights of Shakespeare Country including the birthplace of the Bard, Anne Hathaway's cottage, the house Shakespeare himself lived in and, of course, the his burial mural at the Holy Trinity Church.
